Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts 2008
Kristen Parisi
Kristen Parisi of Dracut, Massachusetts

Kristen Parisi, originally from central New York, moved to Massachusetts
in 2005 for school and for her love for this beautiful state.  She is
currently a music education student at the University of Massachusetts
Lowell and plans to teach music to special needs students.  She is a very
passionate and outgoing person, so nothing has ever gotten in her way
of achieving her dreams.  During her time as Ms. Wheelchair
Massachusetts, Kristen hopes to be an inspiration to both those who
have a disability and those who do not.  She wants to be a mentor for
people who are newly disabled, so they can see that people with
disAbilities can do anything that anyone else can.  Furthermore, Kristen
wants to educate the general public that people with disAbilities are just
like everyone else and break down some barriers that people may
subconsciously have.  She is looking forward to this experience and
helping people and getting awareness in any way possible.

Kristen competed in the National Ms. Wheelchair America Program July
21-27, 2008 in Rockville, Maryland and received the Todd Mullens
Courage Award .
Congratulations Kristen Parisi, recipeint of the Todd Mullins Courage Award at the Ms.
